A face

Earthdancer finally has a face. I'm quite excited and pleased with how it looks. This also Is the entire first page,many a tiny part of page 2. I have not added back stitching, specialty thread, or beads. I'll do all that at the end.

A finish and some feathers

I finally got back to stitching after about a month. I can't wait for April to be over, exactly 2 weeks after my pap died, my father in law died.

On a brighter note, I finished my first mill hill kit. I didn't really like the perforated paper, but I did enjoy stitching this, and especially adding the beads. Next time I think I will stitch it on evenweave.

Anyone who has stitched this or has this will notice that I left out the background mountain and stuff at the bottom right. I simply disliked it and felt it took away from the owl. The kit was also missing one color the brown, which I disliked the color so I picked my own brown.

 

 

I worked a bit on Earthdancer as well. I was able to stitch the wisp Of hair and the feathers at the top of her head.mnext time I hope to complete her face.

She has hair

I completed the hair on Earthdancer this week. I'm quite pleased with it. Wow what a lot of hair. Next time I hope to fill in most of the remaining stitches on this page.

 

 

Up next week though is Dragonflies whisper. Yay. I can't wait.

I've made good progress in the past month with my 3 current WIPs.

Last up is a new small. Last month I finished mr. Monster, this month I started my first mill hill kit- night owl. I'm not sure I like the perforated paper. I hate stitching in hand.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also I finished up mr. Monster. My son picked the finish. I wanted to add a bow to hide the seam but he didn't so...

 

Don't mind the pink hook. It won't come off the door without tearing the door.

 

Question of month. If money weren't an object what would be on your stitching bucket list.

 

I would have all the chatelaines if money weren't an object. I am in love with them.

Earthdancer

I stitched Earthdancer last week. I didn't get as much done as I would have liked. Not bad for only 3 days stitching. I still love this piece.

WIPocalypse February

I got a lot stitched since the last check in. I even had my first finish.

As of last month this is where I was on Earthdancer. 32 ct Silkweaver's fairyland Wexford linen.

In my small rotation I stitched Mr, Blue Monster, 28 ct. Mystery eve weave. This was a fast, fun stitch. It's mosey n me from the 2012 Halloween collector issue. I did change a few of the threads.

Earthdancer-week 1 progress

I originally started this piece on New Year's Day as part of a new year, new start SAL with a group. However on Monday I realized I had cut my fabric wrong, there was no way to save it. Luckily I had a piece of fabric in the same color that was the proper size. Tuesday I restarted this piece. I am pleased with my progress.

Next week is my HAED week. I am so looking forward to some progress on Drafonflies Whisper. She hasn't been out since summer.

WIPocalypse 2015-January

I'm Angie. I'm 38, married 15 years, with a nearly 5 yr old son. I stitch about 1-2 hours a day.mNow that my son is older I sometimes stitch evenings I don't work as well. I started stitching when I was 10ish, then took many years off until I was around 30.

Although I have participated in the past, I sat out last year. I am participating in WIPocalypse this year. You can learn all about WIPocalypse as well as sign up here.

My goals this year are to complete as many of the following as I can. Most of these will be new starts. I am proud to say missing from my list is Japanese garden, my chatelaine, which I finished. You can see pics a few entries back.

I stitch on a rotation. Currently one week Earthdancer, one week HAED, one week a small. As this first full moon came 5 days into the year the only one I have worked on is Earthdancer.

New year, new start

I really want to try hard to update every Friday on my weeks progress. Although I am participating inWIPocalypse  this year, I will save that stuff for the 5th.

This week began with a finish. Finally finished crabby all year-April. It took way too long to complete. I discovered I was missing a few threads way back in spring. I not only finished the stitching, I went ahead and added the beads.

I am participating in new year, new start sal on a cross stitch Facebook group. I was so thrilled to get this started finally. I have had this pattern waiting about a year now. 

This is Earthdancer by Butternut Road. I am stitching on 32 ct. Wexford linen. It's Silkweaver's fairyland. This is two days progress. I am loving it so far.
